Key Responsibilities:Develop comprehensive thermal models for RFIC devices, packages, and modules to evaluate heat dissipation and temperature distribution. Conduct thermal simulations and analyses to support design optimization and enhance reliability. Work alongside RFIC design and packaging teams to formulate effective thermal management strategies. Assess thermal performance across various packaging technologies and materials. Assist in silicon validation and characterization concerning thermal performance. Investigate thermal failure mechanisms and propose design or process improvements. Thoroughly document analysis methods, results, and recommendations. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in thermal analysis, modeling, or simulation within semiconductor or electronic systems. Strong grasp of heat transfer principles and thermal management techniques applicable to RFICs and MMICs. Willingness to work full-time, onsite, in Atlanta, GA. Preferred Skills:Proficiency with thermal simulation tools like ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar platforms. Familiarity with semiconductor packaging technologies and thermal interface materials. Experience analyzing high-power devices such as RF amplifiers or high-frequency ICs. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset across engineering teams.
