Role Overview
Vortexa is rebuilding its sales operating system from scratch. Current challenges include inconsistent pipeline management, unreliable forecasting, and weak process discipline, which create friction from lead handoff through deal closure. The Revenue Operations Manager will play a key role in identifying these pain points and implementing practical solutions. This position partners closely with the VP of Revenue Operations to design, enforce, and optimize all aspects of sales operations, aiming to turn a fragmented process into a repeatable revenue engine.
What You Will Do
- Develop the Sales Operating System:
- Define the full sales process, including stages, entry and exit criteria, and qualification standards.
- Design a pipeline structure that reflects actual deal progress, not just sentiment.
- Replace inconsistent workflows with clear, enforceable processes.
- Enforce Pipeline Discipline:
- Maintain pipeline hygiene through regular cleanups.
- Remove outdated deals, ensure close dates are accurate, and drive accountability.
- Implement lifecycle logic for deal progress, stalling, recycling, and closure.
- Establish Realistic Forecasting:
- Build forecasting frameworks based on real deal signals, not opinions.
- Define forecast categories, set review cadences, and clarify expectations.
- Promote evidence-based predictions over subjective estimates.
- Enhance Funnel Performance:
- Identify and address conversion gaps in the sales funnel.
- Increase pipeline velocity and shorten sales cycles.
- Boost pipeline coverage and representative productivity through better structure.
- Transform Processes into Systems:
- Translate sales processes into scalable CRM designs, including fields, workflows, and guardrails.
- Define and enforce what counts as “minimum viable truth” in the system.
- Organize data so reporting accurately matches operational reality.
- Collaborate Across the Organization:
- Work directly with Sales leaders and regional Managing Directors to drive adoption.
- Coordinate with Marketing Operations on lead flow and routing.
