Position Summary

The Retail Support Specialist (RSS) provides essential, hands-on assistance to AT&T customers in bustling national retail settings. In this pivotal role, you will directly interact with customers and retail partners to address issues related to accounts, billing, devices, and services—often in high-pressure, fast-paced conditions. To thrive in this position, you must possess excellent communication abilities, emotional resilience, technological proficiency, and the capacity to maintain composure and professionalism amidst dynamic retail challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

 Customer Assistance

  • Deliver courteous, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented support to AT&T customers in national retail outlets.
  • Address inquiries regarding billing, account modifications, service plans, device troubleshooting, and other service-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve wireless device malfunctions and network connectivity problems.
  • Exhibit professionalism and service excellence in high-volume retail situations, especially during peak traffic and escalated issues.

 Support for Retail Partners

  • Serve as the AT&T subject-matter authority for retail personnel and third-party labor associates.
  • Act as the primary AT&T liaison for these partners, spearheading in-store support for retail escalations.
  • Engage proactively with store management to resolve customer issues, fortifying partnership alignment and ensuring a premier customer experience.

Work Environment & Schedule Requirements

  • This position is based in a retail environment, requiring standing and interacting on the sales floor for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential based on business needs.
  • Comfort in dynamic, customer-facing settings with frequent interaction and problem-solving demands is crucial.

 Operational Excellence

  • Efficiently navigate various systems while simultaneously engaging with customers in real time.
  • Thoroughly document all customer interactions with precision.
  • Comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and privacy standards.
  • Aim to meet or surpass performance metrics, including quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Implement and uphold approved planograms for mobile devices and promotional signage.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and assist in stock management.
