Qualifications:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a quick response to data-driven insights. Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Advanced proficiency in Excel and a strong grasp of retail math and inventory principles. Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively across various teams.2–4 years of relevant experience in allocation, planning, or a comparable retail role is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree or a degree from FIDM is preferred.

About the job

The Retail Allocator is essential for ensuring that products are delivered efficiently to stores in optimal quantities and at the right time. This position collaborates closely with the Head of Planning & Allocation, the General Merchandise Manager (GMM), and the Buying and Planning teams. The focus is on daily replenishment, store-level execution, and inventory optimization to enhance sales and productivity across styles and categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily replenishment of inventory by store and SKU, leveraging sales and inventory performance data to maximize in-stock levels and selling opportunities.

  • Analyze store and style performance metrics to uncover opportunities that increase sales, enhance inventory turnover, and rebalance stock levels.

  • Implement initial product allocations by store and SKU, in line with assortment strategies, store capacities, and anticipated volumes.

  • Create and uphold store volume indexes to assist in allocation and replenishment strategies.

  • Monitor weeks of supply, sales-to-stock ratios, and SKU performance to suggest transfer, consolidation, or reallocation actions.

  • Conduct store and size selling analyses to project future inventory demands.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Planning & Allocation, GMM, and Buyers to convert business strategies into effective allocation practices.

  • Track purchase plans and receipts to guarantee timely product distribution and communicate any inventory-related risks or opportunities.

  • Advise on product transfers and consolidations between stores to optimize sales.

  • Work across departments to support merchandising strategies, floor sets, and significant business initiatives.
