Please note that this is a fully onsite position based in our Cambridge, Ohio facility.Duties: Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of returned engine cores, evaluating the condition of key components such as blocks, heads, and crankshafts. Clean and disassemble cores to prepare them for detailed inspection and remanufacturing. Identify, document, and report any defects, cracks, or signs of wear that may impact the core's reusability. Organize cores based on type, condition, and components to facilitate efficient remanufacturing processes. Utilize diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments to verify the integrity and specifications of core components. Collaborate with fellow technicians to identify necessary repairs or replacement parts needed to restore cores to a functional state. Ensure all cleaned and inspected cores meet our stringent quality and safety standards. Maintain precise records of core evaluations, repairs, and inventory for effective tracking and reporting. Adhere to all safety protocols and quality control measures during the handling, cleaning, and processing of cores. Work alongside other departments to ensure timely processing of cores and minimize any potential delays in the remanufacturing workflow. Keep work areas organized and adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Perform additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor. Requirements:Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certification in automotive or diesel mechanics is preferred. Demonstrated experience with engine components or in an automotive repair or remanufacturing environment. Solid understanding of various automotive and diesel engine components and systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
