This includes product validation, prototype testing, feature development, and extensive external validation studies. You will manage hands-on data collection, prepare operational components of the studies, and maintain regular communication with participants to ensure successful execution of research projects.

Our focus is on pioneering groundbreaking brain-computer interface technologies that interact with the brain at high bandwidth, seamlessly integrate with advanced AI systems, and ensure safety and accessibility for all users.About the Team:Our Bio team is at the forefront of designing, constructing, and evaluating the biotechnological foundations necessary for next-generation brain-computer interfaces. We employ a multidisciplinary approach, merging molecular engineering, synthetic biology, neuroscience, and advanced techniques such as ultrasound to create less invasive, high-bandwidth connections with neurons. The Bio team focuses on developing core molecular technologies, validating their efficacy both in vitro and in vivo, and showcasing their advanced capabilities through animal models. We create bespoke experimental setups and workflows, collaborating closely with engineers and data scientists to tackle some of the most demanding challenges in biotechnology.About the Role:As a Research Associate, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team driving critical biological research at Merge Labs, with two distinct tracks:Science-Track RAs engage directly in active scientific programs, collaborating closely with scientists to design, implement, and refine experiments across various fields such as protein engineering, cell biology, synthetic biology, neuroscience, and translational biology. Your experimental work will directly influence experimental decisions, execution, and technical strategies. This track is specifically structured to identify and nurture high-potential early-career scientists, facilitating their progression towards independent scientific roles.Platform-Track RAs focus on developing and maintaining the essential experimental capabilities that support ambitious scientific endeavors at scale. You will collaborate with platform leaders to operate, enhance, and innovate foundational workflows. This track values precision, systems thinking, and profound technical expertise, allowing you to transform delicate or custom experiments into robust, high-quality pipelines that propel the entire organization forward.
