Job Purpose: We are looking for a dedicated analyst to research contemporary land-based air defense systems and update equipment profiles that explain their functionality, major components, and integrated systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with fellow data analysts and take charge of our systems-level coverage, establishing relationships with manufacturers and operators to produce clear, comprehensive, and current records for our worldwide audience. Your Contributions at Janes: Conducting research on in-service and developmental land-based air defense systems globally. Creating detailed descriptions and development profiles of surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems and anti-aircraft artillery. Keeping abreast of news developments in the air defense sector and updating profiles of in-service systems. Verifying and validating our content to ensure adherence to Janes sourcing standards. Curating and expanding Janes image library of air defense systems. Building a network of contacts and proactively engaging with defense industry and military personnel. Collaborating with the broader subject-focused teams within the Janes Equipment Intelligence Team, including specialists in Inventories and ORBATs.

Firms: Researching firms for strategic partnership opportunities in targeted sub-sectors. Companies: Finding potential companies for funding or acquisition (portfolio companies). Lead Generation and Knowledge Management Utilizing the internet, Arena's subscribed databases, and other resources to generate leads, including brokers and vendors across Europe. Employing the firm’s proprietary CRM system to track and manage leads through the pipeline, coordinating with Operations for all necessary administrative tasks. Developing and maintaining internal metrics and information related to past deals within a specific Arena vertical or sub-vertical. Updating and standardizing templates for pre-deal, deal, and post-deal documentation. RequirementsThe ideal Financial Analyst should demonstrate significant initiative and creativity in identifying the right sources. This role carries substantial responsibility for shaping the output of various research products and involves close collaboration with team members, including Managing Directors.
