Qualifications
Your Core Responsibilities:Lead fundamental and news analysis, providing morning market updates, weekly summaries, and previews of significant upcoming events in the energy markets. Collaborate closely with traders and quantitative analysts to identify and exploit short-term dislocations and long-term macro opportunities within energy markets. Design and enhance data-driven models to predict supply, demand, price fluctuations, and volatility trends. Provide real-time market insights regarding geopolitical risks, inventory trends, refinery margins, and systematic flows. Work alongside traders and quant teams to translate fundamental perspectives into actionable trading strategies. Establish and maintain high-quality datasets to deepen market understanding and refine decision-making processes. Proactively drive research and trading strategy development. Your Skills and Experience:Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related Engineering discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy market analysis, trading, or research. Proficient in options pricing models and volatility dynamics. Strong grasp of physical and derivatives markets, including supply chains, refinery economics, and hedging strategies. Entrepreneurial spirit with a keen interest in market structure, trading flows, and price discovery. Skilled in Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and model development. Able to convey complex insights succinctly in a fast-paced trading environment.
