The Regional Vice President of Sales for the APAC region will be responsible for leading sales initiatives across the Asia Pacific, including Australia and India. This pivotal role reports directly to the Regional Managing Director and plays a key part in shaping and executing the commercial strategy for the region.
The VP of Sales will drive profitable growth while establishing Genetec as a leader in physical security within the APAC market. This includes building strong relationships with existing customers and partners, exploring new market opportunities, and fostering long-term business partnerships.
In collaboration with Genetec’s ecosystem of partners, integrators, and solution providers, the successful candidate will ensure the effective governance of commercial operations while promoting Genetec’s offerings in a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial activities in APAC, including strategy implementation, sales forecasting, budgeting, and talent development.
- Manage business development initiatives, focusing on commercial strategies and sales KPIs.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both existing and prospective customers and partners.
- Develop tailored solutions in alignment with customer needs, leveraging insights from Genetec’s product and service teams.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with customers and internal teams to deliver projects on time and to standard.
- Oversee tender responses in collaboration with various departments within Genetec.
- Guide and support sales teams in line with the company’s corporate culture.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience leading sales teams, ideally in a technology or software setting.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing successful commercial strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and gain their trust.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Exceptional project management skills, capable of handling multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficient in people management, including talent acquisition and the development of high-performing teams.
