Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial hygiene consulting, including at least 5 years in a leadership or project management capacity. Possession of relevant state asbestos and lead certifications for the Western region (e.g., CA, WA, OR, CO, AZ). Additional credentials in mold and IAQ (such as CIAQP, AIHA certifications) are preferred. Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams effectively. Exceptional skills in business development, client management, and communication.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee large-scale industrial hygiene initiatives, mentor technical staff, and significantly contribute to our growth in the Western market. A robust understanding of asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments, combined with comprehensive regulatory knowledge, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage industrial hygiene projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, compliance, and profitability.
  • Act as the primary liaison for strategic accounts, cultivating enduring client relationships.
  • Oversee and conduct assessments related to asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and IAQ.
  • Create detailed scopes, budgets, timelines, and proposals that align with client objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project managers and field teams.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all relevant state regulations in the Western region.
  • Drive business development initiatives through presentations, proposals, and participation in key industry events.
  • Represent J. S. Held at regional conferences, professional associations, and networking opportunities.
