Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Craft comprehensive project proposals, outlining scope, schedule, and budget; assemble project teams; lead interviews; negotiate terms; and cultivate client relationships. Mentor engineers in the creation of construction documents (PS&E), technical studies, and supporting reports. Conduct construction site visits, providing engineering support including RFI responses and shop submittal reviews. Oversee bridge maintenance projects, including necessary inspections. Collaborate with civil engineering leads, surveyors, environmental planners, and other stakeholders. Monitor project timelines and performance metrics to ensure alignment with deadlines and goals. Communicate complex concepts clearly and professionally across various organizations and disciplines. Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required; a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred. Possession of a California Professional Engineer (P. E.) license. Minimum of 16 years of progressive experience in structural and bridge design and project management. Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary environments involving both public and private sectors. Experience in developing construction documents, technical studies, and detailed reports.
