AECOM is seeking a Regional Director of Fire Engineering to join our Bangalore team. This consultancy role requires extensive experience across various sectors and proficiency in technical fire engineering applications within a client-centric framework.
You will be responsible for the oversight of Middle East projects and, if necessary, the development of a Fire Engineering team across the Middle East, UK, and India to bolster our project portfolio in the region. Success in this position requires significant experience in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage the project delivery team, focusing on workload management, project delivery, and performance improvement.
- Ensure successful project delivery within the Middle East region, adhering to regulatory requirements and meeting client expectations.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and leadership to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality project completion.
- When necessary, guide the Performance & Review process for the team by establishing and monitoring SMART goals.
- Conduct staff appraisals for direct reports and ensure they perform the same for their teams in accordance with AECOM's review process.
- Engage in the development of professional growth plans for staff, promoting expertise expansion across various sectors.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of team members to enhance their technical skills in alignment with professional development plans.
- Provide specialized technical insights to studies and design projects across the Middle East portfolio.
- Support and mentor less experienced staff on their journey to obtaining professional accreditation.
Project Management
- Estimate fire engineering budgets and schedules for large, complex projects.
- Lead project delivery for mid to large-scale projects nationally and internationally.
- Become an AECOM Approved Lead Verifier, guiding the strategic direction of projects.
- Obtain AECOM Approved project manager status and act as project approver.
- Maintain technical client relationships, playing a key role in attracting new clients and projects.
- Ensure the quality of work meets client standards and is delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
Business Development
- Implement all AECOM Health & Safety policies in the workplace and during external engagements (meetings, training, site visits, etc.).
