Key Responsibilities:Conduct user research studies to collect feedback and insights during product development, working in agile sprints. Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations that resonate with stakeholders and inspire actionable changes. Present insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, narrating the story behind the data. Engage with various product areas and teams as necessary, quickly establishing credibility and relationships. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to incorporate user insights into the development process.

About the Role

Figma is searching for a Rapid Researcher to join the Research team in either San Francisco, New York, or remotely within the United States. This role sits within Figma’s Rapid Research program and connects product teams with users throughout the development cycle. The work helps shape product direction by delivering clear, actionable recommendations based on user insights.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to gather and share user feedback at every stage of the product lifecycle.
  • Apply a range of research methods to generate insights that inform product decisions and improvements.
  • Rotate across different product areas, quickly building relationships and adapting to new teams.
  • Translate research findings into recommendations that drive strategy and product direction.
  • Champion open dialogue with user communities and advocate for a human-centered approach to product development.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience with multiple research methodologies and the judgment to select the right approach for each situation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly with new teams.
  • Comfort working in new environments and shifting between product areas as needed.
  • Desire to move beyond reporting observations and to actively shape product strategy with research insights.
  • Genuine interest in design, collaboration, and improving how teams work together.

Location and Work Arrangement

This is a full-time role. Work from Figma’s San Francisco or New York offices, or remotely from anywhere in the United States.
