Educational/Experience Requirements:Completion of a two-year radiologic technology program from an AMA-approved institution. Required Licenses/Certifications:Valid certification in diagnostic radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current licensure in the State of Maryland. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

The Radiologic Technologist I at Luminis Health performs routine radiographic procedures, follows established safety protocols, and delivers patient care that respects each individual's needs. This position is based in Annapolis, MD.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Process radiographic films, verify patient demographics and technical details, and review image quality for accuracy.
  2. Carry out imaging procedures efficiently, maintain quality standards, and ensure all information is accurately documented in images and records.
  3. Monitor patient conditions, provide first aid if needed, and assist medical staff during emergencies or adverse reactions.
  4. Apply radiation protection measures for patients, comply with safety regulations, and participate in required radiation safety training.
  5. Work with management to recommend improvements, report concerns, and offer feedback to support patient care and workflow.
  6. Track inventory in the assigned work area and alert management to shortages.
  7. Keep the work area stocked with supplies, monitor expiration dates, and take action when needed.
  8. Support the clinical training of rotating students and help orient new staff members as requested.
  9. Handle other assigned duties, such as billing tasks and quality assurance activities.
  10. Maintain current licensure, complete continuing education credits, and participate in training required by regulations.
