Educational/Experience Requirements:Completion of an accredited two-year radiologic technology program approved by the AMA. Required License/Certifications:Current certification in diagnostic radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid State of Maryland licensure. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

The Radiologic Technologist I at Luminis Health in Annapolis, MD performs routine radiographic procedures while following established safety and quality protocols. This role ensures patient needs are met and imaging standards are maintained.

Main Responsibilities

  • Process radiographic films, verify patient demographics and technical details, and assess image quality.
  • Carry out procedures according to quality standards, ensuring all relevant information appears on images and documentation.
  • Monitor patient condition during procedures, provide first aid if needed, and assist physicians during emergencies or adverse reactions.
  • Follow radiation protection standards for patients and participate in required radiation safety training.
  • Work with management to suggest improvements, report issues, and provide feedback to support patient care and technical quality.
  • Track inventory in assigned areas and notify management of shortages.
  • Restock supplies each shift, monitor expiration dates, and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Support clinical education for rotating students and help orient new staff when required.
  • Handle additional duties such as billing and quality assurance tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain active licensure and meet continuing education requirements set by regulatory agencies.
