About Swift Solar

At Swift Solar, we are on a mission to harness the immense potential of solar energy. We recognize that solar technology today is commendable, but still falls short of its capabilities. Our innovative tandem technology utilizes perovskite materials to deliver solar solutions that surpass conventional methods in efficiency and versatility, suitable for applications from space solar to large-scale power generation.

As a mission-driven startup, we are proud to be supported by the US government and esteemed investors. The journey of bringing a pioneering clean energy technology to market is long, and we are committed to it together. Join our extraordinary team as we create cutting-edge solar technology that will redefine the future of the global solar industry.

Your Role as an R&D Scientist

As an R&D Scientist at Swift Solar, you will lead the charge in developing efficient, stable, and manufacturing-ready perovskite tandem solar cells. Your responsibilities will include innovating processes, metrology, and materials for key thin film layers within the solar cell stack. You will independently identify and address challenges in the existing device stack and its layers, while crafting strategies to overcome these hurdles.

You will conduct systematic, statistically validated experiments to enhance scalable deposition materials and processes, working collaboratively with other engineers and technicians. Employing advanced metrology techniques, you will quantify the properties of the resulting materials. Your success will hinge on your commitment to maintaining and training on critical deposition and characterization processes. This role is integral to the development of advanced solar cell stacks that achieve efficiency, long-term stability, and scalability for gigawatt-level manufacturing.

Your contributions will also extend to the sourcing and qualification of materials from chemical suppliers and designing new materials aimed at elevating performance, stability, and scalability. As an early team member, you will play a key role in shaping Swift Solar’s culture while gaining numerous opportunities to enhance your professional skills.
