The Goal
The Quant Development unit within our Data Science team is seeking a talented Quant Developer to design and maintain forecasting models for sports betting. This role is based in London.
What You Will Be Doing:
• Develop new player proposition markets utilizing price feed and statistical data.
• Enhance sports betting models by integrating essential features and components to optimize pricing across various markets.
• Oversee the team's services, including Alerts for Traders.
• Manage cloud-based data pipelines while ensuring their efficiency and scalability.
• Minimize technical debt while tackling various tasks, such as implementing a new interface for market contracts.
• Collaborate across team functions, effectively communicating technical solutions through tools like Jira, Confluence, and code.
• Partner closely with product owners and software developers to transition projects from concept to integration.
• Provide constructive feedback during code reviews to ensure high-quality contributions, including suggesting additional tests, identifying inconsistencies, and aiding in problem resolution.
The Player:
- A postgraduate degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quantitative role or possess a PhD in a quantitative field.
- Proficient in programming: (a) Object-oriented programming in C# or Python and (b) database management with SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with diverse modeling techniques (including Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Bayesian Inference, Time-Series Analysis, etc.).
- A strong passion for developing forecasting models in the sports domain.
- Solid understanding of betting concepts and market dynamics.
Desirable Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
