About the job
About Rocket Lab
Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company providing responsive launch services and spacecraft manufacturing. The company’s mission: make space accessible for everyone. Rocket Lab’s rockets and satellites support a wide range of critical space missions, including scientific research, Earth observation, climate monitoring, national security, and technology demonstrations.
The Electron rocket is now the second most frequently launched rocket in the U. S. each year, with over 230 satellites delivered to orbit. Rocket Lab is also developing Neutron, a reusable medium-lift launch vehicle for larger constellation deployments. The Space Systems division designs and manufactures satellites, payloads, and components, these include hardware for NASA’s Moon and Mars missions and parts used in the James Webb Space Telescope.
Space Systems at Rocket Lab
The Space Systems team builds more than rockets. This group constructs complete spacecraft, precision payloads, and the subsystems that keep them operating in space. Work includes solar panels, flight software, star trackers, optical systems, and radios.
With experience supporting over 1,700 missions, the Space Systems team contributes to interplanetary exploration, in-space manufacturing, and national defense. Projects range from single high-performance spacecraft to full constellations and vertically integrated components, often in partnership with NASA, the Space Development Agency, and the U. S. Space Force.
