The Quality Control Manager (QCM) plays a vital role in upholding quality standards across all construction projects. This pivotal position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and coordination to ensure that quality policies are adhered to consistently. The QCM will collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors, developing and implementing quality management policies, procedures, and initiatives that lead to compliance and excellence in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and enforce project-specific Quality Management Plans (QMPs).
- Collaborate effectively with project teams and subcontractors to achieve quality objectives.
- Perform site visits, inspections, and constructability reviews to verify adherence to codes, standards, and specifications.
- Oversee the Three Phase Inspection process, encompassing preparatory, initial, and follow-up phases.
- Facilitate and document preparatory and weekly quality control meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and contract documents to ensure they align with project requirements.
- Provide training and mentorship to project teams to recognize and address quality-related risks.
- Maintain detailed records of quality control activities and non-conformance logs (NCRs), ensuring prompt resolutions.
- Serve as the primary Quality Control representative, managing all QC functions to prevent delays and uphold schedules.
