C&K Meats is seeking a Quality Auditor (QA) to join the technical team at its Eye, Suffolk facility. This factory-based role focuses on upholding high standards of food safety and quality across all stages of production. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £32,632.

Role overview

The Quality Auditor will evaluate products throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with both company and customer requirements. This includes conducting internal audits, organoleptic testing, and swabbing, as well as maintaining accurate records and supporting the team in day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out QA functions, including inspections and verifications, following set procedures and standards.
  • Conduct internal audits, organoleptic tests, and swabbing as required.
  • Perform off-site product inspections when necessary.
  • Record product conformity data promptly and accurately.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing and archiving departmental records.
  • Notify management of any issues that could affect food safety, quality, or compliance.
  • Identify and report health and safety risks in the workplace.
  • Ensure damaged equipment is not used and report defects to engineering staff immediately.
  • Work closely with site management and team members.
  • Adapt to changing business needs with a flexible approach.
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed to support factory operations.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience in a QA role, ideally within food manufacturing.
  • Background in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate data recording.
  • Good literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset.
  • Basic IT skills.
