Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients suffering from respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders. This is an excellent opportunity to positively impact patients' lives while collaborating with a team of committed healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings for patients with pulmonary conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on patients’ medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies, including inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
  • Educate patients and their families on effective disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle changes.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Monitor and assess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
  • DEA License
  • Current CPR BCLS/BLS certification
