Experience and QualificationsDemonstrated experience as a Superintendent in the Public Works construction sector is essential. In-depth understanding of construction processes, including estimating, scheduling, and quality control. All scheduling will be conducted using Primavera P6.Experience with construction management software, particularly ProCore and Bluebeam. Knowledge of building codes and regulations is critical. Exceptional communication and supervisory skills are necessary. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Job Summary

Essel Environmental is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will possess significant expertise in managing Public Works construction projects. This role will involve overseeing every phase of the project, from initial site preparation through to the final inspection, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine site inspections to uphold quality control and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Coordinate and manage the efforts of subcontractors and construction personnel.
  • Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Perform construction estimating and guarantee that all bids are precise and competitive.
  • Leverage advanced bidding software such as HeavyBid for detailed estimates.
  • Manage the use of specialized equipment including heavy machinery and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and address any delays or issues with corrective actions.
  • Utilize construction management software like ProCore and Bluebeam to track project data.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate material procurement and delivery, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, including schedules, budgets, and communications with subcontractors.
  • Establish and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets required standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of project close-out documents, including punch lists and warranties.
  • Provide regular updates to the project manager and stakeholders on project status and potential issues.
