Qualifications

Requirements:A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in K-12, College, or University sectors. Proven experience with DSA oversight and managed projects. A professional degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field (e.g., mechanical or civil engineering, construction technology, interior design, business administration) is preferred. Exceptional negotiation, writing, and execution skills for subcontract agreements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Technological proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore. Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods. A commitment to teamwork and exceptional client service. A valid Driver’s License is required.

At Essel Environmental, we are on the lookout for talented Project Managers and Project Engineers with a proven track record in managing mid to large-scale construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to lead multiple projects across diverse sectors, including:

  • Multi-Family Developments
  • Ground-Up Construction
  • Tentative Improvements
  • Colleges and Universities
  • K-12 Construction with DSA Oversight
  • Specialized Sectors (OSHPD, etc.)

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Reviewing plans and specifications for accuracy, preparing General Conditions, and establishing baseline schedules for subcontractors or self-performing teams.
  • Tracking project costs and managing change orders, RFIs, and owner pay applications.
  • Overseeing shop drawings and submittals, drafting subcontracts and purchase orders, managing subcontractor relationships, and conducting regular job site coordination meetings.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout each project.
