The Vice President of the IT Project Management Office (PMO) is a pivotal member of the technology leadership team, tasked with steering execution across all technology domains while ensuring strategic alignment within the organization. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role acts as a vital strategic and operational partner—transforming technology strategy into measurable outcomes, clarifying priorities, and ensuring disciplined, transparent, and predictable execution.This leader is responsible for the IT PMO and serves as the vital link between Technology, Product, Finance, Security, Enterprise PMO, and Business leadership. They provide structure without unnecessary bureaucracy, clarity without friction, and accountability without drama.**This position is open to candidates in the Seattle, WA area. A hybrid remote/in-office schedule is offered, requiring at least 3 days a week in our casual, pet-friendly office.**Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise IT PMO LeadershipDevelop, lead, and enhance a top-tier IT PMO catering to global, cross-functional initiatives.Establish and uphold standard delivery frameworks encompassing portfolio management, program governance, agile delivery, capacity planning, financial tracking, risk management, and benefits realization.Ensure consistent execution across extensive initiatives, including platform modernization, ERP, data management, security, infrastructure, AI, and digital transformation.Promote delivery excellence across waterfall, agile, and hybrid execution models.Strategic Partnership with the CIOCollaborate closely with the CIO to convert technology vision, strategy, and priorities into actionable roadmaps.Support the CIO's operational cadence: leadership meetings, executive reviews, steering committees, and strategic planning sessions.Facilitate alignment among CIO direct reports and proactively address cross-team dependencies and execution risks.Monitor and follow up on enterprise commitments, decisions, risks, and outcomes.Portfolio, Financial & Value ManagementOversee enterprise IT portfolio management, including project intake, prioritization, sequencing, capacity planning, and dependency management.Collaborate with Finance to manage IT investment governance, budgets, forecasts, and ROI tracking.Establish clear metrics linked to business outcomes, such as delivery predictability, cost optimization, value realization, and risk mitigation.Executive & Board EngagementPrepare executive-level communications, dashboards, and materials for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Board, and Audit/Risk Committees.Ensure technology initiatives are communicated in business terms, focusing on outcomes, value, risk, and tradeoffs.Engage with stakeholders to garner support and ensure alignment around technology initiatives.
