The Environmental Business Line at AECOM is actively seeking a Project Manager specializing in Hazardous Building Materials and Industrial Hygiene for immediate employment within the Northeast division of the EHS & Air Practice. This role will report to our offices located in Boston, MA, Chelmsford, MA, or Manchester, NH.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in conducting and managing hazardous material surveys (including asbestos and lead paint), overseeing abatement projects, and leading industrial hygiene initiatives. This is a seller/doer position, merging technical project execution with business development responsibilities. Key business development tasks include identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and securing contracts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing a diverse range of hazardous material and industrial hygiene projects for both public and private sector clients.
- Collaboration with other licensed professionals and technical/regulatory specialists on projects, including surveys, investigations, abatement/remediation design, and execution.
- Providing technical and regulatory leadership for projects across New England, the U. S., and internationally.
- Developing project proposals, including detailed work scopes, budgets, and timelines for hazardous material surveys, designs, abatement, and other industrial hygiene efforts.
- Reviewing and managing technical work and field activities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, budgets, schedules, and regulatory standards.
- Preparing written reports, work plans, and technical memoranda; analyzing data to develop well-supported conclusions.
- Collaborating with various teams within the EHS department and across AECOM's business lines.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance project efficiency and add value to client services.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to support departmental growth.
The successful candidate will be equipped to independently manage a variety of field efforts and deliver comprehensive reports for a wide range of hazardous building material projects.
