Qualifications
Responsibilities:Design and coordinate site development projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public works. Prepare grading and drainage plans that adhere to local and regional standards. Design utility systems encompassing water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure. Draft technical reports, master planning studies, and entitlement support documents. Create construction specifications, conduct quantity takeoffs, and generate cost estimates. Plan site layouts with a focus on parking, access, and circulation design. Integrate sustainable design elements such as low-impact development (LID) and green infrastructure. Apply relevant Federal, State, City, and County codes and permit requirements. Prepare conceptual design studies and feasibility analyses. Collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders, including other consultants throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience in Land Development focusing on site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works projects. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential. EIT certification is highly preferred (candidates with EIT will be prioritized). Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners, including public agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders.

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to become a part of our San Diego, CA office. The ideal candidate will possess several years of relevant experience along with a solid technical grounding in Land Development design and civil engineering principles. You will be responsible for applying standard engineering practices independently across a spectrum of projects, ranging from small developments to extensive infrastructure initiatives. Proficiency in performing geometric calculations and design tasks with minimal oversight is essential. This role also offers valuable opportunities for professional growth, the chance to mentor junior staff, and the provision of technical support throughout all phases of our projects.
