Job Title: Project Engineer (Building Automation)
Position Summary: As a Project Engineer, you will take charge of planning, designing, programming, installing, and overseeing building automation projects. Your role is crucial in understanding and surpassing customer expectations, solidifying Building Systems & Services, Inc. as their preferred vendor for our products and services. You will report directly to the Building Automation Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design comprehensive building automation systems, encompassing applications, layouts, wiring diagrams, and operational sequences.
- Create detailed submittal packages utilizing AutoCAD and standard office software.
- Ensure precise and organized project communication and documentation.
- Program controllers for building automation systems in accordance with specifications and operational sequences.
- Conduct testing and validation of software to confirm adherence to project requirements.
- Develop user-friendly graphical interfaces for building automation systems.
- Manage project plans, schedules, resources, and budgets to guarantee timely delivery.
- Collaborate with customers, contractors, and project teams; actively participate in job meetings to resolve issues.
- Oversee materials, subcontractors, change orders, and pricing as necessary.
- Assist in system installation, commissioning, network configuration, and front-end setup.
- Provide excellent customer service, technical support, system upgrades, training, and project closeout.
- Maintain programming backups, establish standards, keep abreast of product developments, and assist service teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
