Qualifications
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and configuration of finance requirements for the new Core Retail Platform (CRP) and its associated applications. Perform comprehensive finance requirements mapping in collaboration with stakeholders and draft functional specifications that align with finance goals. Analyze complex data structures and system logic to provide accurate retail energy-specific finance reporting requirements. Proactively investigate and resolve challenges, particularly those related to estimation and judgment. Coordinate and conduct testing activities to ensure all financial systems, data, and reporting outputs meet established business needs and standards. Oversee the integration of new solutions into existing finance processes to guarantee seamless implementation with minimal disruption to business operations. Create comprehensive and precise finance-related documentation, including process flows and training materials, for effective project handover. Preferred Candidate QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology. Experience as a Business Analyst within the Utilities sector; retail energy experience is highly desirable. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including over 3 years in transformation projects (ERP, Billing, or platform implementation). Proficient in bridging the gap between finance stakeholders and technical developers. Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.

Role Overview
The Project Business Analyst - Finance will join the Technology and Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role supports a major business initiative focused on financial reporting for Red Energy's new Core Retail Platform (CRP).
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and implement financial reporting requirements for the CRP project
- Act as a key liaison between Finance and Technology Implementation teams
- Ensure financial data and reporting processes are reliable and ready for future analysis
Work Location and Arrangement
This position is based at the historic Bryant & May Building in Cremorne, Richmond, Victoria. The role follows a hybrid model: three days in the office, two days remote each week.
