LaBella Associates is on the lookout for a skilled Project Architect / Associate to join our Civic & Justice Studio in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 10 years of experience in architectural design, particularly in municipal or publicly bid projects. Familiarity with Wicks-Law requirements is essential, and experience in judicial or correctional facility design is a significant advantage. This role demands a dynamic, client-oriented professional with proven leadership abilities. Candidates should have a successful track record in client service and team coordination, particularly in an architectural or engineering consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage project deadlines for both internal teams and consultants.
- Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) of project deliverables.
- Delegate tasks effectively and mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in architecture.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated and adept at working collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of New York State Building Codes and NFPA; ICC codes knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with MS Project is advantageous.
- Registered Architect in the State of New York is desirable but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
