The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in architectural design. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and project planning skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). Strong understanding of NYS Building Codes and NFPA; knowledge of ICC codes is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Registered Architect in New York is a plus. Some travel required.

LaBella Associates is on the lookout for a skilled Project Architect / Associate to join our Civic & Justice Studio in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 10 years of experience in architectural design, particularly in municipal or publicly bid projects. Familiarity with Wicks-Law requirements is essential, and experience in judicial or correctional facility design is a significant advantage. This role demands a dynamic, client-oriented professional with proven leadership abilities. Candidates should have a successful track record in client service and team coordination, particularly in an architectural or engineering consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage project deadlines for both internal teams and consultants.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) of project deliverables.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in architecture.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated and adept at working collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of New York State Building Codes and NFPA; ICC codes knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with MS Project is advantageous.
  • Registered Architect in the State of New York is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
