About the job
AvePoint is on the lookout for a seasoned Program and Project Manager to spearhead the execution of intricate projects and ensure their successful completion. The chosen candidate will excel in driving project success through meticulous planning, effective execution, and adept stakeholder management while adhering to our governance framework, which encompasses security and resiliency.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Manager will oversee the replatforming of a vital application, managing three essential tracks: the Infrastructure track for developing new technology stacks within the Government Data Centre, the Application track for refactoring applications to fit the new technological environment, and the Cybersecurity track for conducting thorough threat risk assessments of the new configuration.
This role demands strong expertise in three foundational areas: identifying and mitigating execution risks, monitoring progress while managing interdependencies among tracks, and providing comprehensive status updates to stakeholders. Collaborating closely with Project Managers from each track, the Program Manager will collect detailed updates, coordinate cross-track activities, and ensure that deliverables are aligned. The Program Manager will be tasked with devising extensive risk management strategies, ensuring synchronized delivery across all tracks, and driving pivotal decisions through effective stakeholder engagement.
The Project Manager will take charge of another critical application replatforming project, assuming full responsibility for its successful delivery. In close collaboration with Solution Architects, they will design the target architecture in alignment with enterprise technology standards, plan necessary modifications, and develop detailed testing and migration strategies. This role involves significant coordination with infrastructure teams to ensure platform requirements are met and that the technical solution is implemented correctly. Given the application's critical nature, the Project Manager will establish robust project governance, actively manage risks and dependencies, and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders. They will oversee all facets of project delivery, including timelines, resources, and change management processes. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience in managing complex system migrations.
Although the roles of Program Manager and Project Manager are assigned to different applications, there are synergies between their workflows. They will collaborate closely to ensure alignment and consistency in their execution strategies while remaining focused on their primary responsibilities. During periods of extended leave, they will cover each other's roles to ensure continuous oversight and progress on both applications.
