About the job

The ACLU is actively seeking candidates for the full-time role of Product Manager within the Technology Department at our National office located in New York City. This is a hybrid position, requiring in-office attendance for two (2) days each week or eight (8) days per month.

The Technology team at ACLU collaborates across various departments to develop and sustain innovative, secure digital products and technical systems that further our mission as the nation's defender of rights and freedoms. Our team consists of engineers, designers, product managers, and administrative staff dedicated to creating technical solutions that enhance fundraising efforts, amplify our messaging, mobilize supporters, and manage data responsibly.

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit and is represented by ACLU Staff United (ASU).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager will work closely with leadership, technology team members, and stakeholder teams throughout the organization to spearhead product development for our fundraising CRM and data management products, services, and platforms. This role is crucial in building products that enable internal teams to perform more effectively, ensuring that the ACLU's fundraising, advocacy, engagement, and communication objectives are met efficiently.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Collaborate with fellow product leaders to design and implement the product roadmap for initiatives supporting the ACLU's nationwide fundraising program. Initially, this will involve developing and maintaining custom tools that enhance and integrate with our Fundraising CRM.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify product requirements for projects added to the tech team’s roadmap, defining lean minimally viable products (MVPs) that address real challenges and provide measurable outcomes.
