Role Responsibilities
As a critical intelligence conduit for the AI ecosystem, you will serve as the go-to expert on AI infrastructure and competitive trends. Your analysis will encompass the financing, construction, and pricing of compute resources, along with synthesizing public planning data and industry reports to track the strategies of key players in the market. You will collaborate closely with teams across Google Cloud (IaaS and Vertex), the Gemini App team, Gemini Research, Google Infrastructure, and Corporate Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Strategy & Ecosystem Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of the strategies and roadmaps of major industry players, including AI labs and hyperscalers, to identify upcoming technical releases, strategic alliances, and shifts in model architecture.
- Infrastructure & Resource Intelligence: Monitor external resource commitments, including data center expansions and compute cluster acquisitions, while evaluating supply chain challenges to estimate future industry training capacities.
- Financial Modeling & Economics: Develop financial models for AI competitor pricing structures and assess the sustainability of their strategies.
- Strategic Reporting: Create comprehensive quarterly reports and on-demand memos detailing the global AI compute market and competitive landscape, translating complex signals into clear narratives for executive leadership.
- Investment & Partnership Support: Provide data-driven insights to support investment and partnership initiatives.
