Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mining or Process Engineering is required; Master's Degree is preferred. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Mining or Process Engineering is essential. Must be a Registered Professional Engineer. Qualified Person status as defined by NI 43-101 is mandatory. Proficient in English, both written and spoken. Strong mathematical skills including statistics and advanced mathematics are required. Exceptional reasoning abilities and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities. Thorough understanding of process plant operations and process simulation tools. Extensive experience with process design methodologies and process modeling. Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in base metals and precious metal mineral processing is highly desirable. Proven capability to perform engineering tasks across all project phases of process design.

About the job

  • Lead the design and optimization of processes for Mineral and Chemical Process plants, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial scoping to detailed engineering and execution.
  • Create and produce comprehensive technical reports in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 standards.
  • Conduct process modeling for client projects within the mineral and chemical sectors.
  • Engage in process engineering and design, including equipment sizing, selection, and layout reviews.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and interpret engineering deliverables.
  • Perform Bias Test analysis and determine outcomes of Bias/non-Bias results.
  • Develop proposals that encompass cost estimates and reviews of both technical and commercial content.
  • Manage projects through all stages, making critical decisions as necessary.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and peers, fostering a collaborative environment.
