As a leader in private credit, KBRA is currently seeking enthusiastic and proactive funds or securitization lawyers to join its expanding European operations, focusing on private credit transactions throughout Europe, the UK, and the US. This role is based in our London office.
About the Job:
In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the rating process, working across diverse fund investment and securitization transactions while evaluating and communicating the credit implications of deal structures, documentation, and other legal aspects. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing financing documents and pertinent fund- and/or asset-level documentation.
- Identifying potential credit impacts arising from transaction structures and documentation.
- Collaborating with rating analysts on relevant legal matters.
- Participating in rating committee discussions.
- Assisting the analytical team in preparing KBRA’s leading ratings and research reports.
About the Team:
Distinct from other rating agencies, KBRA’s Ratings Legal team collaborates closely with ratings analysts to pinpoint, assess, and articulate essential legal and credit features and risks within transaction structures. As integral members of the credit ratings groups, they contribute to research reports and methodology development while engaging in investor outreach. Ultimately, the lawyers within Ratings Legal play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of KBRA’s ratings.
About You:
- Qualified lawyer with 4-8 years post-qualification experience in fund finance, fund formation, and/or structured finance.
- Proven ability to take initiative and work autonomously, as well as collaboratively.
