Role Overview
We are in search of a strategic technical leader to enhance our delivery center in Buenos Aires. In this role, you will be responsible for defining architectural strategies and leading transformative initiatives for our clients. You will navigate a diverse technology landscape, utilizing the agility of Python and Django alongside the robustness of Java. As a technical leader, you will take complete ownership of complex systems from concept to production.
As a Principal Software Engineer at Qodea, you will:
- Architect and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems.
- Set the long-term technical vision by staying ahead of trends in distributed systems and cloud technologies.
- Proactively identify technical challenges and guide teams toward successful delivery.
- Oversee complex feature development from initial design through testing and deployment.
- Promote engineering best practices and mentor fellow engineers to elevate code quality and system architecture.
- Implement AI-driven technologies to enhance development efficiency and maintain high velocity.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven ability to influence engineering direction across teams.
- Extensive experience in building large-scale systems with Python (Django/DRF).
- Expertise in AI-native tools for complex task management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to unify diverse technical stakeholders around a shared vision.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud-native environments, especially GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers like Apache Kafka.
