Key Responsibilities:
Designing and ensuring the scalability of systems for new initiatives.
Assessing existing systems and infrastructure to identify areas for architectural improvement, performance enhancement, and robustness.
Recognizing recurring patterns that lead to incidents and non-project overhead, and devising actionable plans for resolution.
Driving enhancements in system reliability and performance.
Improving development practices encompassing design reviews, testing, deployment, and incident management.
Conducting in-depth architectural reviews and mentoring key members across various service teams.
Contributing to the development of a high-performance culture within the Retail organization.
Collaborating with the wider team to achieve organizational goals, even when tasks extend beyond your official scope.
Required Qualifications:
15+ years of professional software development experience.
5+ years in a technical leadership role managing multiple teams.
2+ years overseeing architecture for teams comprising over 35 engineers.
Proven experience in developing business-critical systems at scale in cloud environments.
Demonstrated success in delivering key business outcomes within challenging timelines.
Familiarity with multiple technology stacks, including Go, PHP, Java, Ruby on Rails, Python, etc.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
