  • Designing earthing systems, including grounding layouts, ground grid systems, and lightning protection mechanisms for substations.
  • Integrating HVDC and HVAC systems, including converter stations, ensuring seamless compatibility with the overall substation design.
  • Developing transformer layouts, encompassing oil containment, busduct routing, and secondary system interfaces.
  • Optimizing substation layouts for both new and upgraded facilities, considering constraints such as space, equipment accessibility, and construction requirements.
  • Reviewing and enhancing control and protection systems for primary substations, ensuring alignment with secondary systems and compliance with grid operator regulations.
  • Collaborating with civil teams to design and integrate foundations, steel structures, and electrical cable routes for full integration with primary systems.
  • Producing equipment specification documents, bill of materials (BOM), and providing procurement support to ensure appropriate equipment selection based on project criteria.
  • Preparing electrical interconnection diagrams, termination diagrams, cable schedules, and other documentation essential for the installation and operation of primary systems.
  • Conducting detailed design and review of auxiliary systems, such as cooling systems, auxiliary power supplies, and battery systems for substations.
  • Designing underground cable systems, including cable sizing, routing, and integration into existing networks, particularly for HV cables.
  • Coordinating with external vendors and contractors to guarantee that the supply and installation of equipment align with design specifications and project needs.
