Are You Ready to Challenge the Norms?We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:A degree (or equivalent) in ecology or a related field. Membership in a recognized professional institution with progress toward or attainment of Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist status, including possession of protected species survey and/or mitigation licenses. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing ecological surveys, licensing, and impact assessments through relevant professional experience. Proven track record in work-winning, project management, budgeting, and leading stakeholder discussions. Experience reviewing technical work and providing support to colleagues within the team.

Our current projects span the power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport sectors, and involve collaboration with various technical disciplines, such as landscape architecture, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage. Recent accomplishments include overseeing some of the largest consented solar farms in the UK, energy transition projects, habitat regulations assessments for local authorities, and the master planning of new residential developments.

Your Role:

  • Provide leadership and support in delivering high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan, schedule, and organize all phases of ecological project work, ensuring resources, budgets, and controls are aligned to meet program and budgetary goals.
  • Develop technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological challenges.
  • Lead and contribute to the production of ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species license applications.
  • Review and author project deliverables to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Contribute to the growth and enhancement of our technical capabilities.
