Key Responsibilities:Develop a unique and memorable visual identity that distinguishes CMT in the mobility, technology, and AI sectors. Enhance branding, revenue, and recruitment initiatives through exceptional design across marketing campaigns, sales support, recruitment materials, and executive communications. Uphold CMT's brand guidelines, equipping teams with the necessary tools for consistent brand expression. Maintain brand standards across all platforms including the website, social media, paid advertising, events, sales presentations, UI touchpoints, and recruitment materials. Establish a centralized brand library and promote its use across Marketing, Sales, Product, and People Operations. Create design tools and systems that empower the organization to produce content efficiently and consistently—such as templates, automations, and workflows that extend beyond the design team. Curate an asset library of on-brand videos, photos, icons, and templates for team utilization. Leverage expertise in digital design—including video, motion, web graphics, and interactive formats—to advance the brand's digital presence. Utilize digital tools and AI to enhance creative output, streamline production, and expand the capabilities of our small team. Design digital campaigns and assets, such as paid social media, display ads, landing pages, animated web content, emails, and motion graphics for product launches and events. Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, Recruitment, and Events to transform business objectives into impactful creative work. Serve as a mentor for other designers and creative contributors, raising the standard of craftsmanship within the growing creative team. Stay informed on design and brand trends—particularly in technology, mobility, and AI—and identify new opportunities for CMT's brand leadership.

About the job

Cambridge Mobile Telematics seeks a Principal Digital Brand Designer to guide the company’s visual identity across digital platforms. This position is part of the creative team and carries responsibility for how the CMT brand appears online, in motion graphics, web design, and other digital channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and refine CMT’s visual brand identity, ensuring a consistent look and feel across all digital touchpoints.
  • Lead creative projects involving web design, motion graphics, and animated content.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, sales, and recruitment teams to align brand visuals with company objectives.
  • Design a variety of materials, including trade show booths, LinkedIn ads, and homepage animations.
  • Use advanced digital tools and AI to boost brand visibility and engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in brand development and digital design.
  • Ability to work closely with different departments and adapt visuals for various audiences and platforms.
  • Proficiency with current digital design tools and openness to incorporating AI into creative processes.
  • Located in or able to work from Cambridge, MA.
