The Power Platform Architect plays a pivotal role in architecting, managing, and enhancing enterprise solutions utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform—encompassing Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Power Virtual Agents. This position requires the establishment of architectural standards, promotion of best practices, and ensuring solutions are scalable, empowering business teams to harness low-code and no-code tools effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Craft comprehensive enterprise solutions leveraging Power Apps (both Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Dataverse.
- Define architectural standards, integration frameworks, and application lifecycle management (ALM) methodologies.
- Create scalable data models and solution frameworks in alignment with business requirements.
- Lead modernization initiatives, transitioning legacy applications to the Power Platform.
Governance & Security
- Establish governance frameworks that encompass environment strategies, DLP policies, security roles, and compliance measures.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to safeguard data, implement user access controls, and establish role-based permissions.
- Oversee platform utilization, capacity, and licensing efficiency.
Technical Leadership
- Offer technical direction to developers, citizen developers, and cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate solution designs and ensure they comply with architectural guidelines.
- Perform technical assessments, proof-of-concepts, and evaluate platform capabilities.
Integration & Automation
- Architect integrations between the Power Platform and enterprise systems including Azure services, Dynamics 365, SAP, Salesforce, and custom APIs.
- Develop robust automation workflows utilizing Power Automate to enhance organizational process efficiencies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solution designs.
- Deliver architecture recommendations and technical roadmaps to leadership teams.
- Promote adoption and enablement through workshops, training sessions, and best-practice documentation.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay abreast of the latest developments within the Power Platform, including feature updates and community innovations.
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend strategic integration for digital transformation initiatives.
