EducationBachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. ExperienceOver 7 years of experience in hardware or mechanical product development, particularly within power electronics (inverters, converters, OBC, or similar). Demonstrated expertise in product design processes, including CAD, PCB layout, EMC, thermal design, and requirement engineering. Practical experience in supporting manufacturing operations and managing engineering changes (DFMEA, DRBFM, 8D). Knowledge of production processes and the ability to assess cost/benefit scenarios. Desirable SkillsBackground in power electronics design, including familiarity with Si/SiC/MOSFETs, thermal interfaces, high-voltage insulation, and EMI/EMC mitigation. Soft Skills & Additional RequirementsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both internally and with OEMs. Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.

Join Bosch as a Hardware Team Leader, where you will oversee a talented group of engineers dedicated to innovating Power Electronics solutions for Electrified Motion applications. This pivotal role merges technical leadership with team development and project management, ensuring that our hardware designs consistently meet OEM specifications, Bosch design standards, and internal quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Offer expert technical guidance to hardware engineers in the realm of power electronics design, encompassing thermal management, EMC considerations, PCB layout, packaging, component selection, and DFMEA/DRBFM.
  • Evaluate and authorize design concepts, schematics, layouts, and validation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with Bosch's core engineering principles, global design standards, and product roadmaps.
  • Assist in crafting technical proposals for new business opportunities, establishing feasible and competitive design solutions.

Team & Competency Development

  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new team members.
  • Facilitate ongoing career development discussions and performance reviews.
  • Drive the competency strategy for the hardware team, championing continuous training and skills enhancement.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high-quality standards.

Project & Customer Engagement

  • Act as the primary escalation point for OEMs and internal stakeholders, including Design and Manufacturing teams.
  • Engage in project planning, risk assessments, and technical evaluations.
  • Ensure realistic project timelines and transparent communication regarding risks and issues.
  • Support cross-functional problem-solving, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Operational & Administrative Duties

  • Manage monthly billing (MCR) and staffing requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to Bosch processes including ECM, configuration management, and requirements management.
  • Coordinate activities utilizing Bosch's tools such as Planisware and Promise.
