Job Position: Portal Crane Technician
Location: Southeast US (Remote candidates welcome)

In this role, you will be working with portal cranes—large outdoor gantry cranes essential for supplying wood to paper and lumber mills. This specialized division of Konecranes is dedicated to maintaining and improving these critical machines that drive our customers’ success.
This position involves extensive travel across the Southeast, with occasional trips to the Pacific Northwest and Maine. Candidates must be prepared for up to two weeks of travel at a time, as this role requires 100% travel.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on-site.
- Collaborate with a team to repair and maintain woodyard cranes.
- Communicate repair findings to customers through exit meetings and written reports, maintaining professionalism when discussing defects and suggested improvements.
- Document observations and propose corrective actions, including safety notifications to clients.
- Utilize company tools to produce electronic inspection documentation. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and computer skills are required.
- Stay informed about industry standards and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI).
- Ensure the proper maintenance of company-issued equipment and vehicles, reporting any deficiencies.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and customer guidelines.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
