HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEEDA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering is required, with a preference for degrees from ABET accredited programs. At least 2 years of relevant experience is required. Current CPD, PE in Mechanical or FPE in the United States is preferred. LEED accreditation is a plus. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in engineering design software applications, particularly Revit, is required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a key member of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with a licensed Engineer and project leaders on various design projects. These projects may encompass new construction and renovations across sectors such as education, healthcare, corporate, commercial, and science and technology.
 
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
  • Designing simple piping and equipment selections for Plumbing and Fire Protection systems under appropriate supervision, with potential assistance in HVAC designs.
  • Creating Revit/BIM models of plumbing and fire protection construction drawings from schematic design through construction administration, including layouts, sketches, and detailed drawings, with oversight.
  • Assisting in the editing of specifications for both existing and new projects.
  • Reviewing submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Conducting research and addressing urgent issues as assigned.
  • Drafting reports for review by a professional engineer.
  • Collecting information to respond to RFIs and reviewing change orders in the preparation of construction documents.
  • Performing site visits to confirm existing conditions and monitor construction progress, which will often involve physical site walk-throughs.
  • Coordinating activities related to specific project elements.
  • Undertaking additional duties as assigned.
