Qualifications
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEEDActive PE or FPE license in the United States is required. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required. LEED accreditation is preferred. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. Proficiency in engineering design software applications (e.g., Revit) is required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with project leadership on various projects, including new construction and renovations across educational, healthcare, corporate, commercial, and science and technology sectors.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design plumbing and fire protection systems, including equipment selection for building designs, working independently on smaller projects and under supervision for more complex tasks.
- Conduct calculations using appropriate parameters with guidance from senior engineers.
- Create production drawings for plumbing and fire protection systems through all design phases, from schematic to construction.
- Edit specifications for existing or new projects.
- Specify equipment such as sprinklers, sewerage systems, and medical gas systems.
- Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and contract documents.
- Engage with clients and project team members by participating in Owner, Architect, and Construction Administration (OAC) meetings aligned with project budgets.
- Conduct independent research as needed and address emergent issues.
- Participate in or lead value engineering sessions with the Architectural and Engineering team.
- Facilitate staff development activities, including mentoring and training presentations.
- Oversee the work of less experienced staff as necessary.
- Conduct field site visits during the construction phase, which may involve physical walkthroughs of the site independently.
- Be open to working overtime and traveling as required.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
