Role Overview
The Platform Software Engineer will join the team responsible for core backend services at Speechify. This includes building and maintaining systems for payments, analytics, subscriptions, new product features, text-to-speech, and external APIs.
This role suits engineers who think strategically, enjoy product development, and have a record of delivering strong user experiences. What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, including the public text-to-speech API and internal APIs for payment, subscription, authentication, and consumption tracking. Ensure these systems meet business needs and can scale.
- Manage the backend API ecosystem with a focus on performance and maintainability.
- Contribute to B2B solutions, especially around customization and integration for enterprise clients.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and improve user experience.
