Essential:Proven project management experience in planning, scheduling, or delivery coordination within a complex organization. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to navigate competing deadlines. Proficient in planning tools such as shared trackers, dashboards, and planning templates. Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in managing schedules, risks, and dependencies. Ability to generate clear and concise reports for senior stakeholders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across teams without direct authority. Analytical and structured problem-solving approach combined with sound judgment. Desirable:Experience within a policy, academic, research, or charitable context. Familiarity with project management methodologies or PMO environments. Understanding of organizational governance cycles.

Salary: £69,080 - £82,896

Location: London, UK (Hybrid - 50% office attendance)

The Academy of Medical Sciences is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Planning Lead to become an integral part of our newly formed Strategy and Planning team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to enhance the Academy’s planning, coordination, and execution of its initiatives.

In this position, you will facilitate organization-wide planning and execution by developing and maintaining comprehensive shared plans, tracking progress across various programs and projects, identifying potential risks and dependencies, and creating clear reports for senior leadership and governance committees. By working collaboratively across teams, you will embed effective planning practices and continuously improve operational efficiencies.
