Role Summary and Impact
The planning team serves as the guardians of excellence, creating industry-leading work at Wavemaker. We act as central hubs connecting various specialists, driving innovation, and making a positive impact on consumers and brands alike.
Wavemaker UK is searching for a talented Planning Director to join our expanding planning team. This role involves leading media planning initiatives across designated clients and establishing yourself as a media planning expert.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of media channels, their ecosystems, and best planning practices.
- Translate strategic insights into effective planning for specific client briefs and pitches.
- Become an expert in Wavemaker’s Purchase Journey philosophy, utilizing a range of internal and external tools to gain deep insights into consumer behavior and client opportunities.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of the media landscape and emerging trends while fostering relationships with media owners.
Campaign Management & Effective Communication:
- Oversee campaign execution, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
- Develop a sound understanding of commercial practices within the agency.
- Build and nurture relationships with clients and agency stakeholders at a mid-senior level to ensure a robust understanding of business needs.
Comms Planning & Storytelling:
- Lead the creation of planning presentations, defining necessary inputs and coordinating with teams to compile and meet deadlines.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions to generate creative campaign ideas.
- Independently drive the planning process ensuring alignment with client objectives.
