Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the physical readiness and overall health of fighter aircrew. Your focus will be primarily on addressing musculoskeletal injuries, particularly those related to neck and back pain resulting from flight activities. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute significantly to initiatives for injury prevention, performance enhancement, and rehabilitation for fighter aircrew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct musculoskeletal evaluations and interventions.
- Design, implement, and monitor customized injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
- Order relevant imaging, laboratory tests, and specialist consultations as necessary.
- Document all activities in approved electronic health record systems.
- Provide education to aircrew and leadership regarding injury prevention, ergonomics, and recovery strategies.
- Adhere to all DHA, DoD, and MTF protocols.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in collegiate, professional, Olympic, tactical (military), or aerospace contexts, with experience obtained within the last two years.
- Current or prospective certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) prior to the start date.
