Join our dedicated team as a Per Diem Clinical Assistant Professor in Nursing at Unitek Learning! We are seeking passionate BSN instructors to deliver high-quality education in our Nursing programs, guiding students through both theoretical learning and clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging student learning experiences and perform evaluations during all assigned clinicals, labs, and simulated clinical experiences (SCE), adhering to the standard course outlines.
- Supervise and assess students in lab and clinical settings, ensuring they meet the minimum course competencies as outlined in the syllabus.
- Maintain open communication with students via email, phone, or in-person meetings, providing support and guidance throughout their educational journey.
- Adhere to scheduled class times and responsibilities, promptly notifying the Program Director/Academic Dean of any conflicts.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of classroom and lab environments after each session.
Training and Professional Development:
- Attend New Faculty Orientation and engage in the Faculty Mentor Program.
- Develop a faculty development plan with support from academic administration to enhance teaching strategies.
- Participate in faculty meetings, in-service trainings, and additional assignments as required.
- Stay updated on nursing practices, maintaining necessary licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate attendance records and submit them to the Academic Department in a timely manner.
- Assign grades and manage course/student records in compliance with FERPA regulations.
- Contact students who miss labs or clinical sessions to encourage their engagement in learning outcomes.
- Uphold the Academic Freedom policy as outlined in the Faculty handbook.
- Collaborate with colleagues in preparing, administering, and grading course examinations.
- Contribute to strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.
- Implement orientation for new faculty in both theoretical and clinical settings.
- Utilize effective teaching principles tailored to adult learners.
